We are heartbroken by the sudden passing of Alice Sherry Gallodoro, a cherished member of the Sarasota, FL community. A passionate entrepreneur, Alice once owned several successful dancewear and shoe stores, and in recent years, generously donated dance shoes to local schools, nurturing the next generation of performers. She was also the proud owner of Alice’s Restaurant in Oneonta, NY — a beloved local gathering place.
In Sarasota, Alice was more than a resident — she was a vibrant social presence, admired and adored by many. She is deeply missed by her devoted husband, Larry Trott; her two loving sons, Kevin C. Wood of Long Island, NY and Kelly C. Wood of Oneonta, NY her daughter-in-law, Lisa Wood grandchildren, Daniel C. Wood, Matthew C. Wood, Joanna Wood, James C. Wood and Michael C. Wood; great-grandchildren, Kythira Wood, Matthew C. Wood, Jr. and Oliver Michael Wood; countless friends, and her beloved “daughters” — the many women whose lives she touched with her warmth, mentorship, and joy.
Her legacy of generosity, strength, and style lives on in all who knew and loved her.
Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park is in charge of the arrangements.
